Located in historic Boonville, MO, Cooper’s Ridge was once part of a larger homestead. The rich, rolling hills and ample water sources provided opportunity for many small business enterprises to flourish. The main building was once a Furniture Manufacturer, which produced American Oak furniture for local families. Today this building is the main venue; renovated into its next chapter of life, like a Cedar Chest that stores the dreams and memories that are created here.

WordPress Design and Development

The design for the Cooper’s Ridge website was greatly influenced by the venue itself. A blend of rustic and outdoor colors with a modern simplistic layout tied to a focus on negative space. We wanted to lighten up the design from the previous one and provide additional spaces where large photography could shine. Hints of green with large slab serif headings create an enjoyable viewing experience for a user who is hoping to find the perfect place for their wedding or next hosted event.

One of the features that was important to the client was a better Photo Gallery that what they previously had. Because they host so many types of events, we decided to create galleries for each category of event, then added filtering options so the website visitor could select the types of event photos they want to view.

Another feature that was really important to Cooper’s Ridge was that their website be responsive. In other words, they wanted to make sure no matter what type of device the website was viewed on, the visitor would have a positive, engaging experience. Fortunately all of the websites VEA creates are responsive and mobile friendly. We build this into our process, testing all websites for all types of devices. The way we see it, your website should just work, for everyone.
